Charles Robert Darwin was an English naturalist and geologist referenced in The Order: 1886. It is unclear if Charles Darwin and Lord Darwin; a chamberlain shown in Amongst Equals, are the same person.
In 1882, Darwin was studying Half breeds. He was excited to uncover specimens in New Guinea. The United India Company aided Darwin in the expedition, for which he later wrote a letter of gratitude to Hastings. The letter is dated October 2, 1882; several months after his real-life death.
