The Rebellion are a faction and an enemy-type during the first half of The Order: 1886.

Background[]

The Rebellion was formed by Lakshmi Bai to counter The United India Company; a trading company which had seized control of the East Indies. It's members consist of low class citizens and immigrants.

Prior to 1886, they moved operations to London near The Company's headquarters. During this period, The Rebellion used a brothel located in the district of Whitechapel as their own headquarters. They planned to sabotage Company shipments which secretly transported Half Breeds across the globe. They continuously attempted to eliminate Hastings; one of The Company's court of directors and an influential figure of The Order. Unknown to the public, he was secretly a vampire and the serial killer 'Jack the Ripper', who would prey on prostitutes linked to The Rebellion's brothel.

In the public eye, The Rebellion were viewed as terrorists. They planted explosives in the Agamemnon, a Company airship, and set crates on fire at the Company's docks; unknowingly killing two undercover Anarchists. They began to clash with Scotland Yard and The Order. At some point prior to these events, Lakshmi came in contact with Nikola Tesla, who agreed to supply her with weapons to fend off the police, The Order and the Half Breed rampage caused by The Company in Whitechapel. Later, they were able to convince Grayson, a Knight of the Round Table, to join their cause.

At the end of 1886, The Order declared martial law across London. Grayson was absolved of his Knight title by The Lord Chancellor after confronting his son, Alastair, when it it was uncovered he was a Lycan. Grayson became a rogue operative and is pursued by his protegee, Isabeau D'Argyll, for treason. Nikola suggests to him they leave the city with Lakshmi. It is unknown if he officially joined The Rebellion.
